EXPERTISE
Sarah has seven years’ experience in medical device innovation both within the NHS and in the US, with a particular interest in mental health.
EXPERTISE
Sarah is a registered Clinical Scientist and previously led the Clinical Engineering Innovation team at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Sarah delivered projects across a wide spectrum of clinical areas and at a variety of stages, from needs finding to device development and commercialisation.
Before joining IfM Engage, Sarah completed a Biodesign Innovation Fellowship at Stanford University. Here she identified important healthcare needs, invented novel technologies to address them and developed implementation roadmaps. Sarah subsequently applied this process in paediatric cardiology as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Stanford. She now works for the William Templeton Foundation for Young People’s Mental Health, facilitating the translation and implementation of mental health research into practice.
Sarah holds a PhD in Biomaterials from Imperial College London, a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Clinical Engineering from Kings College London.
