Kate leads on organisational culture, recruitment, and retention for IfM Engage. She is responsible for operational management and is the Director for IfM Engage’s Operations, Events, Marketing and Communications activities. She looks after external collaborations and partnerships with key industry bodies and groups and has an interest in increasing impact in the community.

EXPERTISE

Kate is Chair of the Women in Manufacturing UK initiative. She is also a career Ambassador for Form the Future, who help young people understand their future employment options, and is an experienced judge on industry awards. Kate was listed in The Manufacturer’s 2024 Top 100 as a Sector Activist.

About the Women in Manufacturing UK initiative 

WiM UK was established in 2022 and is led by a dedicated network of academics, practitioners, and industry professionals. WiM UK’s mission is to empower women in manufacturing by creating inclusive workplace cultures and facilitating pathways to career development and leadership.

WiM UK aims to raise the participation of women in manufacturing to 35% by 2035. The initiative organises the annual conference Women in Manufacturing: Changing Perceptions.
