Roadmapping
The Government Office for Science’s Futures Toolkit identifies roadmapping as one of the ‘most flexible and emergent tools’ for ‘developing and testing policy and strategy’.
Roadmapping is an agile approach to creating strategy and gaining alignment and action across an organisation.
The IfM is recognised as a world centre of excellence for roadmapping, training hundreds of professionals in the tool each year and supporting partners across government and industry through projects that are at the forefront of knowledge and practice in this area.
ABOUT DESNZ
The Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) is a ministerial central government department that was established on 7 February 2023. It took over the energy portfolio from the former Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). DESNZ is tasked with several key responsibilities, including ensuring the security of energy supply, maintaining properly functioning energy markets, and promoting greater energy efficiency. Additionally, the department is focused on capitalising on the opportunities presented by achieving net zero, with the aim of leading the world in the development of new green industries.
